Manager - Vegetation Management

PPL Electric Utilities is seeking a Manager-Vegetation Management for our Corporate Office, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities: 

--Effective management of $30 million vegetation management budget.

 --Management of contractor vegetation clearance resources, including contract terms and conditions.

 --Analysis of circuit and/or circuit segment prioritization methods and strategies to maximize impact of trimming.

 --Environmental impact compliance of herbicide treatment and coordination with PPL Corporation environmental principles.

 --NERC compliance of vegetation management programs including documentation, certification and audits.

 --Development of metrics at circuit and/or circuit segment level.

   

Qualifications:

 Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration

 Basic Qualifications:

 --BS or BA degree.

 --Five years experience in operations and maintenance of Transmission and Distribution System.

 --Supervisory experience.

 --Customer interaction experience in managing customer expectations.

 Other Qualifications:

 --BS in Engineering, Science, Land Management, Forestry, or Business.

 --Five years experience with vegetation management.

 --Graduate work in Forestry.

 --Certified Arborist.

 --Experience in contract management.

 --Experience in budget management.

 --Demonstrated strong written, oral, and presentation skills.

 --Experience in representing the company with external audiences.
